  Cherokee Indian? Martha says NO! 1870 Census puts Arizona with Winfield and mother Rebecca!!! AND the 1870 census has option for “I” for Indian heritage. There’s is marked “W” for white. 1870 census also shows a “Staggs” living next door-ie Staggs Cemetery where Sam & Arizona are buried.
