  1. 1.  Issac Van Buskirk was born 14 Oct 1760, VA (son of Michael Van Buskirk and Richard Blackburn???? Black); died 27 Oct 1843, Audrain; was buried , Gosport, Monroe County, Indiana.

    Notes:

    Inscription: He was a Patriot Soldier of the Revolution and fought at the battle of Monmouth. He afterwards removed to Pennsylvania where he married Jerusha Little by whom he had 8 sons and 4 daughters. Shortly after his marriage he moved to Wheeling, Virgina, a point then on the western frontier in the defense in which he was almost constantly engaged for several years and until Wayne's Treaty in the Fall of 1805. He removed to Indiana where he remained until his death October 27, 1843
