    • Moved to Wilkes County, NC along with his brother Benjamin who married Martha’s sister Phebe Settle. In 1783 John & Martha sold thier plantation and moved along with Mj. William Hall and settled in Sumner County, TN. John Morgan and his sons built Morgan’s Station along Bledsoe Creek in 1785. In the winter of 1788 John Morgan was killed by Indians.
