410 | Grace Davidson wrote the following in the family tree book she made...page 23..Chapter III Since there is very little family tradition concerning Alsey and Melvinna (Vinnie), we must rely on printed documents for any kind of information. We find in the Deeds books in Warren County and Cannon County, Tennessee that Alsey bought and sold land and slaves. It is our thought that the land the Jones Cenetery lies on, was part of the land originally belonging to his father James Jones. Alsey and his brother-in-law, Russell Lewis and their wives are found numerous time selling and buying land. We will have more on the Moore line later, Alsey married Melvinna Moore and Russell Lewis married her sister Delilah Moore. These were daughters of Jesse Galla (Galli or Gally) Moore. | Jones, Alsa Alsey (I1987)
