Abraham was a member of the Upper Yadkin Baptist Church in 1798, was listed in the 1810 Fluvanna County census, and died in Wilkes County, NC in 1815. Jonathan Boone, brother of the famous frontiersman, Daniel Boone, was ordained
an elder in the same church in 1816/2.
There is much confusion regarding the Alloway Strange name in records of Wilkes County, NC. At times, the name Alloway was used, at times the name Strange was used, and at times the name Alloway Strange was used. Thus, one identical person might appear as Strange in the records for any given year. The next year the same person might appear as Alloway.
